There’s no place quite like New York City at Christmastime.  And last night Katie Holmes gave her daughter Suri Cruise a first-hand look at the city’s holiday magic.

Spotted out and about near Rockefeller Center, the “Mad Money” mommy and her cute little toddler were all bundled up to try and ward off the biting cold.

The mother-daughter combo enjoyed the festive lights of the giant Christmas tree before heading over to Dean & Deluca to grab some sweet treats and cookies. The lovely pair then made the trip to the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater for “All My Sons”.

Having grown up in Toledo, Ohio, Katie recently told press that her career was quite a big deal as she finished up high school.  “I did grow up quite a bit in the public eye because I started at 17. The level of attention has definitely increased in the last couple of years. So early on, my attention wasn’t really on that. Movies were such a highlight in Ohio. There’s not a great deal to do and sports is pretty much what you do there.”

Holmes also revealed her first movie experience as a child.  “The first movie I remember seeing is E.T. at a drive-in with my mom and my cousin. We sat on top of the car with our popcorn buckets and Care Bear matching sweatpants outfits. I was so excited!”

Following a grand outing at Central Park yesterday afternoon, Katie Holmes was once again spotted toting around her young daughter Suri Cruise in New York City earlier today (October 24).

The mother/daughter duo made their way out of their Big Apple abode, passing by paparazzi and a few fans who were gathered to catch a glimpse of the former “Dawson’s Creek” cutie and her 2-year-old angel.

Meanwhile, Katie’s “Top Gun” hubby Tom Cruise was also captured by photogs earlier in the day, as the 46-year-old looked dapper in a suit when leaving the family’s apartment to tend to business matters.

The “Mad Money”actress was spotted making her way around the Big Apple following a nighttime performance of “All My Sons” alongside co-stars John Lithgow and Diane West the previous evening.

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, the Broadway show made its grand opening on Thursday night, with Katie telling press that having her “Top Gun” hunk there was of great help.

“He’s been here, and he’s just made me so good….” Holmes, 29, told Entertainment Tonight. “I was so nervous, and I saw him and it made me feel so much better.”

Enjoying a trip to the ice cream parlor before the night’s preview performace, Katie Holmes was spotted out for a New York City stroll with little Suri Cruise on Tuesday (October 14).

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, Katie is currently staying in the Big Apple as she readies for the grand opening of her Broadway show “All My Sons”, along with the airing of her guest appearance on “Eli Stone” next week.

“She has a fantastic voice and she has an amazing number,” Miller added of Katie’s performance on the show, which airs on October 21st.

The “Disturbing Behavior” darling looked confident as she stepped out of her chauffeured black SUV, sporting a matching grey wool cardigan and trousers along with a white button-up blouse and black platform peep-toe heels.

And though she’s way out East, it sounds like Katie is getting plenty of love from her peeps back on the West Coast, namely Victoria Beckham.

The former Spice Girl recently told press, “We can’t wait to come support Katie. Tom says she’s amazing, the reviews have been amazing. We’re so proud of her.”

The “Mad Money” mommy smiled for the paparazzi as she left her apartment in the SoHo district of Manhattan with her daughter, who tucked her head down and cried in protest.

Katie looked amazing in an all-black ensemble, including a sweater jacket with scarf, leather trousers, flats, and a matching oversized handbag.

And with just over a week until her play “All My Sons” has it’s big Grand Opening on Broadway, Holmes is looking more focused than ever.
