The actor is presently busy with the post-production work of his home production ‘Billo Barber’, which is to be released next year, Aditya Chopra’s ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ to be released next month and preparation of the second season of the Indian Premiere League (IPL).

The actor has not had a single release since last Diwali. His films ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Chak De India’ were huge box office successes and had swept all film awards

“At this stage of my career, I want to play roles I haven’t done so far. I’m playing a very different role in my next release ‘EMI’. It has turned out really, really well. And it goes into a new territory,” Sanjay told IANS.

“I haven’t done a real-life part before. And it’s a really superb script. So let’s see,” added the actor, who was seen playing negative roles in “Khalnayak”, “Vaastav”, “Viruddh” and “Kaante”.

Produced by Suniel Shetty’s Popcorn Entertainment and directed by Saurabh Kabra, “EMI” is a bittersweet comedy and takes a look at contemporary India in a mirthful, subjective way. The actor is quite positive about the movie that releases Friday.

“Madhurji told me that I look as if I am four to five films old and my friends told me that though I was supposed to give 100 per cent, I have given my 500 per cent. But, I was on cloud nine when Priyanka SMSed me saying that I was mind-blowing in the movie. At a time, when cat fights prevail in the industry, it really feels nice to get such a compliment from your co-star.”

A wacky stress buster

People adopt different ways to keep stress at bay. But, Mugdha has a wacky way of saying boo to stress – she chops her hair.

Reports revealed that she chopped off some of her tresses in the middle of the night because she was worried about the fate of her film.

Shakuntala Bhatia lodged a complaint with the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) saying that Shetty’s film was violated copyright laws as it was a direct copy of her husband, producer Rajendra Bhatia’s yesteryear film Aaj Ki Taza Khabar, starring Kiran Kumar, Radha Saluja and Asrani.
